Keba offers the KeContact P30, a modern wallbox that can use the OCPP interface and our backend to charge your car using PV surplus from your solar system.

Through our integration, the wallbox can be operated from anywhere in the world.

The Keba P30 does not support phase switching.

Integration of the KEBA phase switch KeContact S10 is not possible.

Preparation

To connect the KEBA KeContact P30 to our system, the OCPP interface is used.

Integration

After restarting, connect to the user interface of your KEBA wallbox using the wallbox's IP address. Click on [Configuration] -> [OCPP], or select the OCPP item from the menu at the top.

First, select "OCPP 1.6 JSON" under "OCPP Communication Type".

If the menu for parameter settings does not open despite selecting OCPP 1.6 JSON, click "Apply" at the bottom of the page and restart the wallbox once.

Now, enter the OCPP link from our app into your KEBA wallbox. This must be split into two parts.

The URL looks like this:

"ws://cleverpv-ocpp.azurewebsites.net/ocpp/XXXXXXX"

Enter the first general part, "cleverpv-ocpp.azurewebsites.net", in the "Central System Address" field.

Enter the second individual part, "ocpp/XXXXXXX", in the "Central System Path" field.

The Chargingpoint Identity should not contain any spaces or special characters like "_".

We support the "Secure Central System Connection". Set this to "✔ON"

Enter "443" in the "Central System Port" field.

[TCP grid connection monitoring] must be set to [OFF]

and [Photovoltaic optimized charging] must be set to [OFF].

Please ensure that you only have one active network connection, either LAN or WLAN, not both.

Fill in all other fields according to the image above and click apply.

Then return to our app and wait until the wallbox has registered. You can then select it from the drop-down menu and complete the remaining configuration. Finally, click [Save].

As soon as a car is plugged in, the status updates and you can control your charging session intelligently or manually via our system.

Troubleshooting

Question: "I have entered you as the OCPP backend and can no longer access my wallbox with the Keba app. What should I do?"

Answer: "This is normal behavior when an OCPP backend is active. However, you can still use the Keba app on your home Wi-Fi. To do this, open the app, tap the three dots in the top right corner, and switch the connection to 'Network'. This allows you to access your wallbox locally."
